21st century knowledge

Students in the 21st century need to be innovators and entrepreneurs, as well as lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.

Vantage Education has developed a large series of knowledge-based modules, focusing on pupils acquiring new information that will be beneficial to them in the years ahead and to introduce important ‘soft’ skills, which are the character traits and interpersonal attributes that characterise a person’s relationships with other people.

The modules are designed to cater for Upper KS 2 (Ages 10 – 11 / Years 5 – 6) and for Lower KS 3 (Ages 12 – 13 / Years 7 – 8) pupils.

Our curriculum is developed to:

  • Provide targeted support and additional challenges to ensure all students make at least national rates of progress.

Our objective is to create:

  • Responsible citizens who can make a positive contribution to society.

 

Our modules cater for pupils’ differences in learning styles, including:

  1. Visual (spatial): You prefer using pictures, images, and spatial understanding.
  2. Aural (auditory-musical): You prefer using sound and music.
  3. Verbal (linguistic): You prefer using words, both in speech and writing.
  4. Physical (kinaesthetic): You prefer using your body, hands and sense of touch.
  5. Logical (mathematical): You prefer using logic, reasoning and systems.
  6. Social (interpersonal): You prefer to learn in groups or with other people.
  7. Solitary (intrapersonal): You prefer to work alone and use self-study.
